Faridabad News, 01 July 2021 : Conservation of environment in all aspects is the need of the hour. In an initiative to generate the habit of using old things to create beautiful crafts amongst students, the Centre for Environment of DAV Institute of Management, Faridabad organised an Inter college video making competition on the theme “Regard Before You Discard”. The objective of the competition was to create love for environment by making best out of waste with help of recyclable things.
The students from different colleges of Faridabad participated and showcased their talent by using reusable and recyclable materials like newspapers, shoe bottles, cans, plastic containers and much more. They created an amazing array of display items and useful everyday objects leaving everyone totally impressed. It was amazing to see how scrap could be transformed into such useful and beautiful articles. This fun-filled contest ignited their artistic potential. It was a learning experience for all as the competition promoted creativity and artistic excellence in our leaders of tomorrow. Ms. Swati from Rawal Institute secured the First Position, Nishi Khatri of Bsc(H) CS 4th Sem, DAVIM secured the second Position and third Position was bagged by Ms. Nitika Khatri of BBA (II) of DAVIM.
Dr. Ritu Gandhi Arora congratulated the winners and appreciated the efforts of the team of Centre For Environment (CFE) for coming up with this idea which imbibed the young heart and minds with this noble act of caring for the environment. Dr. Neelam Gulati, Head Centre for Environment thanked Ms. Reema Nangia, Dr. Parul Nagi and Ms. Priti Bali for giving their judgement in the competition.
