Faridabad, 12thFebruary 2022: Chief Minister of Haryana,Shri Manohar Lal, held a meeting with the Chief Minister’s Good Governance Associates (CMGGA) on February 10th and discussed about the multiple flagship initiatives undertaken by them. Some of these initiatives include MukhyaMantriAntyodayaParivarUthhanYojna, education initiatives like Model SanskritiSchool, Super 100, and technology in governance initiatives such as Meri FasalMeraByora, Gram Darshan, and JanSahayak.
The meeting was also attended by Ashoka University leadership Mr. Pramath Raj Sinha, Trustee & co-Founder, and Rajesh Garodia, Pro-VC, and other officers of the State and CMGGA programme donors. CMGGA is a programme where young professionals from across the world work with Haryana Chief Minister’s office and the Government of Haryana on state priorities to improve governance. The CMGGA programme is a collaboration between Ashoka University and the Government of Haryana since 2016. It is the first experience for young professionals to work with government officers and observe bureaucracy. This programme brings together the State Government, Academia, and Corporates to create a sustainable impact.
During the meeting, Shri Manohar Lal, CM, Haryana, said, “The CMGGA model has emerged as a unique, successful programme in the country, and Haryana has benefited because of this collaboration. Our goal is to ensure service to every citizen in Haryana, even down to the last person (Antyodaya). It’s great to see how we have created, sustained, and institutionalised programmes to achieve our goal.”
Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Dr. Amit Agrawal, Project Director Chief Minister’s Good Governance Associates Programme also encouraged the Associates. He said, “The Associates have done a commendable job in understanding the government machinery and have focused their efforts on how we can reach every citizen of Haryana. I am confident that their insights will bring tangible outcomes on the ground.”
Pramath Raj Sinha, Founder, and Trustee, Ashoka University, said, “I am sure the Associates had an intense and fruitful experience during the last 6 months which have further increased their resolve to work in this space and have ensured that we all are committed to the Hon’ble CM’s vision of good governance in Haryana. Our donors have been instrumental in the smooth implementation of the program and I am grateful to Hero Motocorp, Cisco Systems India, Pernod Ricard India Foundation, and Yokohama India for their continued support and engagement with the program.”
The discussion also touched upon themes such as education, agriculture, welfare schemes delivery and social security. For the agriculture, the Associates updated about ‘Meri FasalMeraByora (MFMB). The programme had facilitated village camps, awareness campaigns, addressed the challenges, and helped in grievance redressal under the guidance of their respective Deputy Commissioners. These activities have brought a slight increase in the registration of land on the MFMB portal with 60% registrations in Haryana. Also, about 89% of accepted grievances have been resolved through review and monitoring conducted by District Administration with the help of CMGGA Associates.
