Amity University, Greater Noida Signs MOU with Chhanv Foundation.

Noida News : Amity School of Fashion, Greater Noida organized an MOU signing ceremony withChhanv Foundation in association with Ashhwika Foundation and WFive Communications as an official Media partner to further strengthen the relationship between the two organizations. The agreements were signed by Prof. J.S. Jassi, Dean of Academics, Amity University, Greater Noida, Dr. Swarnima Singh, H.O.D. Amity School of Fashion Technology and Mr. Alok Dixit, Founder, Chhanv foundation. Dr. Ajay Rana, Director General, Amity University Greater Noida graced the event as the Chief Guest and addressed the audience.

The MOU will allow Chhanv to set up stalls for the promotion and create awareness among the students about the initiatives of Chhanv Foundation. It will also motivate the survivors to undergo various campaigns and training programs organized by the Amity School of Fashion Technology, Amity University, Greater Noida to provide the skills to sustain their livelihood.
The agreement will also help the university and Chhanv generate funds from various National and International Academic bodies and Indian Governmental organizations for the acid attack survivors.
The MOU signing ceremony was followed by Candle Making & Chocolate making workshop for the survivors.Ms. Sakshi Verma of Ashwika foundation conducted a chocolate-making workshop, where she taught the survivors about a few basic ways to make chocolate and chocolate cake.Later on, Ms. Shivani Arora, Ashwika Foundation conducted a workshop where sheprovided hands-on training to the survivors to make colorful designer candles that can easily be sold in the market or on different online platforms.

On this occasion, Dr. Ajay Rana, Director General, Amity University Greater Noida talked about finding inspiration as an important part of our lives. He said, “All of you must find inspiration from people you have seen with your eyes, people who live for some kind of cause people who make a difference in other person’s life.”  He also made a promise to the survivors present during the ceremony that they can continue their academic journey free of cost at Amity University Greater Noida. He also extended his heartful gratitude to Mr. Alok Dikshit for providing Amity University the chance to contribute little to the rehabilitation of acid attack survivors.

Ms. Shama Soni, Founder of Ashhwika foundation, Ms. Raashi Rohatgi, WFive Communication, Brig. Hardeep Dhanny, Dean Management, and Allied Domain. Ms. Kamalpreet Kaur, Assistant Professor, Amity School of Fashion Technology, and Dr. Aditi Dhama, Assistant Professor, Amity School of Fashion Technology were also present on the occasion.
