New Delhi, 14th April 2021: With the beginning of Navratris, Indian pop Star Daler Mehndi pens an exclusive song for Mata Vaishno Devi ‘Navratri Di Wah Wah, Wah wah Ji wah wah’. To celebrate the festival of Goddess Durga, the Pop Icon performed Live on 5 bhajans for the Goddess. Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board have organized the darbar to mark the beginning of the Navratris on 13th April 2021 from 6 pm onwards. The darbar is telecasted Live on MH1 Live Music.
Talking about the song, Daler Mehndi says that bhajans are penned when it comes from within to connect with the Almighty. It is not written to impress the listeners. He performed live on songs like ‘Kisi Ne Phad Leya Chimta’, ‘Ajao Jinne Paar Langana’, ‘Menu Sohna Jeha Maa Da Darbar Mileya’, ‘Mata Di Sher Sawari’ and ‘Bholi Maa Tere Dar Te Khade’. The songs including “Wah wah Ji wah wah, meri maiyaan di wah wah Navratre ki wah wah” dedicated to Mata Vaishno Devi are written and composed by Daler Mehndi himself. Sharing his experience, Daler Mehndi said, “I consider it as a gift from the Goddess that the lyrics of this song came spontaneously as I was writing. It was like a divine connection with her. These bhajans are our way to express our feelings and impart our message to Maa. It took 3 days to write this song.”
These Punjabi bhajans are loved by all music lovers and this time they had an opportunity to watch Daler Mehndi perform these Bhajans live with his team. Talking about attending the Darbar during the Navratri, the pop icon stated, “I consider ourselves lucky that we got a call from Mata Vaishno Devi on the first day of Navratri. My entire family and team are here to praise the goddess on this auspicious occasion.”
