Mumbai News, 17 May 2022 : The last 12 months have been quite revolutionary and successful for actor Darshan Kumaar. First he gave an impressive performance of a boxer in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Toofaan and recently, he was at the center of one of the most successful movies Indian cinema has ever seen in its history, The Kashmir Files, which has become like a revolution in itself. The actor received rave reviews for his portrayal of Krishna, a young college student getting to know the history of his hometown and now he has laurels to show for it as well.
Recently at one of the most prestigious and biggest corporate award events, the 3rd Global Excellence Awards held in Mumbai this Sunday, Darshan was bestowed with the award for Best Actor for his role in The Kashmir Files. What makes the win all the more special for him is that Darshan received the honour from his co-star in the film, the veteran actor Anupam Kher, who was invited as the chief guest in the event.
The actor was over the moon with his win and couldn’t thank his fans and the audience enough for showering so much love on their film. In his acceptance speech, Darshan mentioned that The Kashmir Files is very close to his heart and he thanked his director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri for bringing this memorable role to him. He also thanked Anupam Kher for his constant support and for treating him as family throughout the shoot and even after that. He asserted that getting the award from Anupam Kher made the honour all the more special and priceless.
Meanwhile, up next, the actor has an exciting slate of projects ahead which includes the upcoming film Dhokha Round D Corner, also featuring R Madhavan, Khushalii Kumar and Aparshakti Khurana, and some more yet unannounced projects.
