Mumbai : The Honorary Consular Corps Diplomatique-India (HCCD-India) hosted an evening to celebrate Consular Day, recognizing the valuable contributions of Honorary Consuls in India.

The Honourable Governor of Tamil Nadu, Thiru. R. N. Ravi graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his address, the governor underscored the critical role Honorary Consuls play in showcasing the transformative journey of “New India” to the global community.

On the occasion President Shri K.L Ganju President, highlighted the vital role Honorary Consuls play in facilitating consular services and promoting flourishing trade relations between sending and receiving countries.

The prestigious “Vivek Burman (Dabur) Peace Prize” was presented to the National Agro Foundation (NAF), Chennai. Established in 2000 by Mr. C. Subramaniam and nurtured by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, NAF is a public charitable trust dedicated to comprehensive agricultural and rural development. Received by its Managing Trustee Mr. S.S. Rajasekar.

The distinguished guests who graced the occasion included Rear Admiral Ravi Kumar Dhingra, Dr. Yashwanth Kumar Venkataraman, Mr. Mohan Suresh , Jagdip Singh, Honorary Consul of Republic of Korea, , Mr. T. Shanta Kumar, Honorary Consulate of Malta, Nawab Mir Nasir Ali Khan, Honorary Consul of Kazakhstan, were also present. Ambassadors, High Commissioners and Hony. Consuls from across India, along with officials from the Ministry of External Affairs, joined the celebration.
