Mumbai : Srestha Banerjee, who is better known as ‘Sharmain’ from the fevicol ad ‘Sharmain ka sofa’ is utilising her lockdown period in a creative manner. She has tied up with some relatable and realistic projects during lockdown. Mumbai-based director Aashay Jadhav’s short film, ‘Ricky Ticky Tambo Nosi Bari Bashki Pari Pimpo’ is based on a Chinese folk tale and has emerged as a lashing sarcasm on social media’s fake news and outlandish statements surmounted with useless debates. Apart from wonderful direction , acting and writing credits, this film has no cuts and has been shot in one take- that’s the USP of this film. Srestha has shot this film in the premises of her house itself, in-keeping with the norms of social distancing. It took 1 week to prepare for the character and people are also showing love and support to this film as well. You can watch it on the official handles of director Aashay Jadhav’s facebook and youtube handles as well as on Srestha Banerjee’s official facebook page and Instagram handle Srestha will be seen in one more lockdown project with 3 more actors, apart from a voice-over narrative, but soon the details about the same are yet to be shared officially. Meanwhile, you may follow her on social media and have a look at this fabulous short film and have a good laugh.
