Mumbai News, 08 May 2020 : As we all know Zombie thriller Betaal’s first look is out. The series has been co-produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment, Gaurav Verma and Netflix.
Paragg Mehta who is the Casting Director says, “Every project I take it up as a challenge but this one was big and became special for me when I got a call from Red Chillies. As it was our first fictional horror-thriller zombie drama series. Following the vision of Director, Patrick Graham we routed to many villages in different parts of India keeping the nuances of all the characters in mind and we auditioned as many artists we could until we get it right and do justice to the script. Since the time people have started noticing the cast of the films and with the rise of OTT platforms more content flowing in our roles are acknowledged and we started getting credits too.”
Paragg Mehta has been praised tremendously for his excellent casting work associated in films including Bajirao Mastani, Goliyon ki Rasleela, Mary Kom, Chakravyuh with recent Netflix’s Chopsticks as its first Indian original film, Web series Hundred for Disney Hotstar,
Rangbaaz for Zee5, Laakhon Mein Ek for Amazon Prime and many in the list.
The cast of Betaal includes Vineet Kumar, Aahana Kumra, Suchitra Pillai,b Siddharth Menon, Jitendra Joshi, Manjiri Pupala and Syna Anand. Betaal will premiere on 24th May 2020 on Netflix.
