Mumbai : Supyarde Singh, South actor made her Hindi debut in EORTV’s ‘I Love Us’ season 2
1. Is it true that earlier you wanted to become a Director, Producer ?
Recently I started my work as an actor. It’s been 2 years and I can say that I am lucky because I’m getting back to back work / opportunity and that’s a good thing. I’ll not say that I’ll pursue my career only in acting because I think an artist is like water. We only believe the water is pure only when it’s rushing. That water is pure and drinkable. If the water just stops somewhere and stays there then it becomes bad and we cannot drink it anymore. The life of an artist is also the same so I would never want to stop. I will always like to flow like water. Definitely I would love to do direction but not now. I just recently started in the industry as an artist. When it comes to producing, I can do it right away also but I don’t want to do it now. Producing is not my target right now. My target right now is acting and it will be like this for years now.
2. What made you fall in love with acting?
My different characters. I don’t want to criticize anyone but that was the only reason I did not accept a serial because I don’t want to be in just one character. I always wanted to play different characters with different roles. I played a Punjabi girl’s character which I did with Mani Ratnam sir and after that I did a Kashmiri Muslim girl character. I’ve also played a Govan girl and I played ACP Arora’s character. I played a Hyderabadi muslim girl’s character. Now I’ve made a series on LGBTQ community. So I’ve never repeated a character because I always play different characters. When I see myself in a different character I feel very happy. I live that life and I have fun. I’ve never felt alone after coming to this field. Whenever I’m alone I read about myself and what’s written (printed) about me. What are the viewers’ reviews and what DM’s I’ve received on Instagram. So there’s no one reason for me to love my career there’s a lot of reasons.
3. You recently did your Hindi debut on EORTV’s I Love Us 2, How did you bagged the role?
That process was very simple. During Covid I got an opportunity, my coordinator called up and he spoke with my manager. He said that there’s one webseries on a slightly different topic and asked will be able to do it or not. I heard the story and said Ok I didn’t reply with a yes or a no. I said I’ll meet the director Deepak sir and I was impressed with his personality. The way he was narrating the story, I was impressed and I said I definitely want to work with you. After the lockdown I met him again. He gave me the script and narrated the story. Initially I was not able to understand the feeling of the character but once I heard the narration by sir I was thinking how can someone love the other person so much belonging to the same gender. When I lived Richa’s life for 15 days then I was able to understand the feeling. I’m lucky that I got this opportunity to play this character. I’m very happy after playing this character. After the song was released the response that we received was amazing. I would say I’m lucky.
4. How was it working with EORTV?
It was a wonderful experience with EORTV team, director, producer and everyone. Every person who was working with EORTV. It’s a new channel with a new thought. If someone establishes their channel with a new thought then I think we should support them. It’s very easy to criticize but we hesitate in appreciation. I’m not that kind of a person I’m always ready to appreciate. My best wishes with them.
5. If you get a chance, which actor & actress would you like to work with?
I’m a little different person. For me, whichever actor is chosen opposite me will become my dream actor or actress. Any team I’m working with they trust me, taking risks and investing in me. If someone is trusting on me and casting me so there’s nothing bigger than that for me. I’ll give my 100 %. So for me my director, producer and co – artist are my dream team. I will give my best.
6. Tell Us something about your Upcoming projects.
I don’t have the right to disclose my projects right now. All I can say is that as of now I’ve not signed any Telugu project. My 1 project Lingucha will be released and I’ll tell you that date as soon as my production house declares it. I’ve signed a few hindi projects and you’ll get to see me in a different character soon. I’ll ensure one thing that in every project I’ll play a different character with a different message every time. So just wait and watch.
