Faridabad News, 29 May 2021 : Creating references and citing published work in research papers or thesis is one of the most critical tasks. Adopting a specific style of creating referencing is increasing, being required by publishers and researchers. Keeping this in mind Faculty Development Cell of DAV Institute of Management Faridabad in collaboration with Internal Quality Assurance cell had organized an E Workshop on “Learn to Use Mendeley Software: To Manage your references and Citations” on 29th May 2021. Resource person Professor Raja Sankaran, an Alumnus of IIM Ranchi and Professor International School of Management Excellence (ISME) Bengaluru, having more than 28 years of industry, research and teaching experience, equipped participants with the use of Mendeley Desktop, synchronization and import articles across multiple platforms, increase reference data/Pdf management with Scopus integration and various other applications of the software. Moreover he had given various tips to the participants to import references and change citation style with one click. In her opening remarks Dr. Ritu Gandhi Arora, Officiating Principal and Convener FDP Cell explained the importance of these tools to the participants in improving the scope of research work done by the researchers and get cited by the other researchers all over the world. Workshop was attended by more than 200 faculty members, scholars and students from various colleges and universities from India. Session concluded with vote of thanks by IQAC Coordinator Dr. Anamika Bhargava. She appreciated the efforts of the members of FDP and IQAC Dr. Ashima Tandon, Dr, Pooja Kaul, Dr. Parul Nagi, Ms. Kulwinder Kumar, Ms. Reema Nangia, Ms. Pooja Gaur, Ms. Ritu Gautam, Dr. Juhi, Ms. Vandana, Ms. Ruchi, Mr. Harish Rawat, Mr. Sachin Narula and Mr. Ashish Goyal for their untimely support in making this workshop a success.
