Faridabad News, 06 Nov 2020 : COVID-19 has been a largely disruptive factor when it comes to the economics of India. Notably enough, the country had been experiencing a pre-pandemic slowdown economically, and the pandemic has magnified the pre-existing risks present in India’s economic outlook, as said by the World Bank. To make the students understand about the impact of lockdown on Indian economy, BBA Business Economics Department of DAV Institute of Management, Faridabad organized a webinar on “Impact of Lockdown on Indian Economy” on November 6, 2020 under the auspices of Principal Director, Dr. Sanjeev Sharma and Vice Principal, Dr. Ritu Gandhi Arora.
The illustrious speakers of the day were Dr. Amita Rana, Associate professor, CISKMV, Pundri and Dr. Kamal Agarwal, Associate Professor, SRM University whose wise words and forward thinking captivated everyone. The webinar was monitored by a team of final year students of BBA(BE) Department who left no stone unturned to make the session a success. It was initiated by host Sunny Rathore and was moderated by Sarisha Buttan and Isha Choudhary.
Our experts shared their insights on the macro-economic challenges India faces and covered the fiscal measures the Indian Government has put in place. They further reviewed the current scenario, what more the Government can do, and emerging trends and predictions looking into 2021 and beyond, both from a general and sector-specific perspective.
The query handling session was managed by Shweta Baghel under the guidance of Dr. Sunita Bishnoi. The webinar was so audience-friendly that the viewers got engaged by asking several doubts which was answered by the speakers.
