Faridabad News, 21 Dec 2020 : In today’s competitive landscape of business and careers, there is a fight for each and every vacancy.Therefore, BCA Department of DAV Institute of Management, Faridabad took an opportunity to organized a webinar on – “Future Skills to boost employability” on 21st December’2020 under the auspices of Principal Director, Dr. Sanjeev Sharma and Vice Principal& Registrar, Dr. Ritu Gandhi Arora. The aim of this webinar was to inculcate employability skills in future employees as per the need of the employers.
The illustrious speaker of the day was Mr. Gagan Singh,Founder of Gagan’s Winning Edge Persona Program – A Leadership & Persona Development Institute. He is a Devoted Academician,Leadership Trainer & Motivational speaker for “Empowering Your Ascent To Next Level”.He has conducted over 1 Million Interviews, 1 Lac Group Discussions & trained over 100,000 senior professionals globally and also associated with leading Global & Indian universities to conduct Leadership training programs for Professionals.
The session started with welcome address by Dr. Sanjeev Sharma, Principal Director, DAV Institute of Management. He appreciated the efforts of BCA Department for organizing such a lively and enriching session which was the need of the hour. Principal sir emphasized that as it is dream of every student to get placed in top most organization and placement has become foremost necessity in today’s world. The webinar was moderated by Ms. Pooja Sachdev, Assistant Professor, HOD, BCA Department.
Mr. Gagan shared his insights for the employability skills which are required by a prospective employer . He said one must encompass extra-curricular activities as well as core skills.Hemotivated the students by emphasizing on differentkey qualities which an employer is looking in their future employees: a positive attitude, personal organization, time keeping, integrity and honesty, updated skills, interview skills, team working and flexibility.
The webinar was so audience friendly that the viewers got engaged by asking queries. The query session was handled by Ms. Ritu Gautam, Assistant Professor, BCA Department and all queries was answered by speaker. The session was concluded by Head of Department of BCA, Ms. Pooja Sachdev with a formal vote of thanks. She thanked Dr. Sanjeev Sharma, Principal Director, DAVIM and Dr. Ritu Gandhi Arora, Vice Principal, DAVIM for motivating the team to come up with such ideas.Ms. Pooja Sachdev also thanked her colleagues in the department, Ms. Ritu Gautam, Ms. Deepika Pahuja, Ms. Pooja Gour, Ms. Sangeeta Bakshi for quick execution and unwavering support.
