Faridabad News, 25 July 2020 : DAV Institute of Management whose foundation was laid under the aegis of DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi, follows the maxim of spreading the light of knowledge and stand as a torch bearer of a progressive society and nation. In order to revisit the lives of the alumni of our esteemed institution, DAVIM organized alumni meet “A TRIP TO NOSTALGIA” on the virtual platform on 25th July 2020.
The history of DAVIM speaks for itself with its apparent anecdotes of success and learning in all spheres of education . DAV Institute of Management hall of fame includes successful managers, IT professionals and students spreading their wings across the world to pursue higher professional studies.
The initial deliberation of the session was done by Dr. Dhrity Gulati who welcomed our honourable Principal Director, Dr. Sanjeev Sharma. He congratulated and welcomed the alumni to join in for an unforgettable journey to the memory lane, motivating and applauding the endeavors of all the faculty members for organizing one of its kind, virtual meet with the ALUMNI. It was followed by the opening remarks of highly revered Vice Principal and Registrar Dr. Ritu Gandhi Arora. Her words of wisdom marked the initial development of the Alumni meet.
A touching video “Walking down the memory lane” enabled the entire faculty and students to revisit the times where they all were together and worked as one whole united entity. In DAVIM, the one who enters the ingress of the institution, experiences overall holistic development. It was an over – whelming moment equally for everybody.
The programme was conducted in three phases . The introduction of the guests was done by Dr. Rashmi Bhargava, Dr. Dhrity Gulati and Ms. Priyanka Gaur . The alumni were welcomed to share their wonderful experience during their college learning years. The speakers included professionals who have left a mark in all major spheres in the market. Dr. Rajiv Mehta, Chairman, NIAM Educational Foundation, Dr. Pavwan Chhabra, National Sales Head (Aditya Birla Capital Ltd), Dr. Rahul Nanda, Consultant and Advisor (Food and beverage industry), Mr. Anish Batta, Entrepreneur), Mr. Ankush Gupta, Vice President , Accenture. Mr. Nitin Gupta, Consultant, TCS, Mr. Tarun Chhahsriya, AGM, IDBI bank, Mr. Yogveer Singh Lamba, Technical officer(CCN Dept, NIT Kurukshetra), Mr. Latika Joshi, Agra Khan Education service, Tanzania, Mr. Rakesh Mehta, Owner, Astral Education. – to name a few. Ms. Khushboo Gupta, Senior Manager, Adobe ; Ms. Preeti Bhargava, Specialist (talent acquisition), Accenture; Mr. Vikram Dhawan, Head of Institute, VLCC Institute of beauty and nutrition, Faridabad; Mr. Vishal Vishkarma, Software Engineer, Wipro; Ms. Swati Sharma, Assistant Professor Jagannath Institute – they all were part of this out of the box event. They all interacted with aspiring students to motivate them to take up varied career opportunities.
To add up some sparkle to the event, a FUN ACTIVITY was conducted with Alumni. It was a refreshing experience for all. The programme reached its denouement with a vote of thanks by Dr. Meera Wadhwa , Convener – Alumni Association Committee. She applauded the combined efforts of all the faculty members and the alumni who came together at a common platform to share their experiences and make this event a huge success. The institution looks forward to organize such felicitations and meets in future as well.
