Faridabad News, 17 June 2020 : The covid-19 pandemic has become the accelerator of one of the greatest workplace transformations. Time is tough for the education sector as well which is undergoing a transformation from physical mode to a digital mode. Adapting to this new normal, DAV institute of management under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Sanjeev Sharma has initiated e -counselling desk to connect with prospective students for admissions and counselling. A webtalk series has been planned w.e.f 16th June 2020- 24th June 2020 covering different courses.
On 16th June the webinar session by organised by MBA department from 11:30 a.m to 12:30 pm. Dr. Neelam (Dean Academics) gave the opening remarks and introduced the concept of week -long webtalk series giving awareness and information about different courses run by DAV institute of Management.
The Principal Director Dr. Sanjeev Sharma addressed the audience and emphasised the importance of creating e-desk during these trying time when students cannot walk down to the institute for admissions. He also announced different scholarship schemes for economically weaker sections, girl child and meritorious students and declared the grant of 100% scholarship to top 20 scorers of scholarship test conducted by the institute. The programme included presentation on the MBA course highlighting it’s key features, achievements and other technical details. This was followed by another presentation giving insights on training and placement activities conducted for MBA students. The queries posted by the students on the chatbox were resolved by senior faculty members. The Vice- Principal and Registrar Dr. Ritu Gandhi Arora gave the closing remarks and asked the students to put their best foot forward and plan the future course of action. Dr. Meera Wadhwa (HOD) proposed the Vote of thanks.
The programme received an overwhelming response with more than 1000 viewers with-in hours. The video has become one of the most sought-after videos on the Facebook. Also the institute is receiving a lot of queries from the students on the Facebook wall as well as through the Google form shared with them during the session.
