Faridabad News, 26 July 2021 : Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated every year on 26th July in honor of Kargil War Heroes. We remember the courage and determination of our armed forces, who steadfastly protected our nation in 1999. Their valour continues to inspire generations. This year on the occasion of 22nd anniversary of India’s victory in Kargil War, Patriots Club of DAV Institute of Management organized the Inauguration Ceremony of “The Wall of Heroes”. The Wall of Heroes depicts 21 portraits of Param Veer Chakra Awardees (highest war-time gallantry award). We must have portraits of such soldiers in educational institutes to create passion and enthusiasm among the youngsters and to inculcate the feeling of patriotism in them. The Wall of Heroes is a project implemented under the campaign ‘Vidya Veerta Abhiyan’.
This memorial wall was officially inaugurated by officiating principal, Dr. Ritu Gandhi Arora. The ceremony was attended by all the members of patriotic club, Dr. Anjali Ahuja (Convener), Dr. Rashmi Bhargava (Co-convener) , CA Alka Narula, Dr. Nidhi Turan, Ms. Neetu Juneja, Ms. Esha Khanna, Mr. Prince Ahuja, Dr. Dhrity Gulati, Ms. Archana Mittal, Dr. Deepak Sharma and other faculty members. The ceremony was concluded with National Anthem.
