Faridabad News, 11 Oct 2021: DAV Institute of Management organized one week Induction program “Aavahan” to welcome the 1st year students of undergraduate courses. The program was scheduled from 1st to 8th October, 2021. Various guest speakers were invited to throw light on the career journey and the demands of the Industry so that the students can prepare themselves well for the corporate world.
Dr. Ritu Gandhi Arora, Officiating Principal, welcomed the new batch and motivated the students to face the challenges of life. She said that this batch of students has seen a really tough time due to the pandemic and we at DAVIM have big hopes from them. Dr. Neelam Gulati Dean Academics addressed the gathering with her inspiring words. Mr. Rajinder Kumar, Data Scientist and CTO, Froyyo Technologies took a session on Inception of Career Journey. Mr. Praveen Arora spoke on Motivation and culture Change and how it impacts the business scenario. Sh. Suresh Shastri Ji talked about why goal setting is important through his talk on “Yuva Pidi aur Jeevan ke Lakshya”. Mr. Kamal Kumar Bhola, Director, Institute of Industrial Development, New Delhi, emphasised upon the importance of Entrepreneurship and becoming a job provider instead of a job seeker. CA Tajender Bhardwaj spoke on Latest Job Avenues and understanding the skills required to be learnt by the students so that they are successful. He also threw light on the need of social work by the youth of the nation.
Apart from these sessions, several sessions were organized on various clubs and committees of DAVIM. Dr. Pooja Kaul (Dean, Add On & Innovation Cell) discussed about Add-On- Courses that will be provided to the students for three years. Dr. Rashmi Bhargava (Incharge – NSS Wing), talked about the various activities conducted by NSS wing of DAVIM. Dr. Ashima Tondon (Incharge – E Content Development Cell) took a session on “Who Am I?” and also ensured that the students are conversant with Google Classroom. A session on “Winning Customers for Life” was delivered by Dr. Meera Wadhwa (HOD- MBA and Dean Student Support). Dr. Sarita Kaushik (HOD- MCA & NAAC Coordinator) talked about various tips for effective Google search. Dr. Deepak Kumar Sharma highlighted the importance of NCC to the students and presented the various activities conducted by NCC. The students of Rotract Club of DAVIM Jain talked about the social activities carried out by them and motivated new students to actively participate in such activities. Talent Fiesta was organized on the last day of Induction in which students showcased their talent. Dr. Ritu Gandhi Arora (officiating principal), appreciated the efforts of the team of Under Graduate courses for making this event a success and Ms. Reema Nangia and team for media coverage.
