Faridabad News, 19 June 2020 : As the pandemic drives us physically apart, technology is bringing us together. The Covid – 19 virus has caused a mass flight to the internet and online education platforms are the ones which quickly adapted to crisis times. As DAVIM is known for its quick and timely delivery to any kind of circumstances, it continues doing it in the current times as well. This time it has undertaken a highly innovative method of doing so and that is a webtalk series organized by DAV INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT, FARIDABAD on widely used social media platforms like Facebook and Zoom under the able leadership of Dr. Sanjeev Sharma, Principal Director of DAVIM. An eight days webtalk series has been planned by the institution w.e.f 16th June 2020 – 24th June 2020 covering different courses. MBA and MCA department enlightened the viewers by giving intriguing presentation on 16th & 17th June 2020 respectively.
On the third day of session i.e., 18th June 2020, the virtual stage was handed by BBA(BE) department from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM and gave an insight of their course. The opening remarks were given by Dr. Neelam Gulati (Dean Academics) where she acquainted the audience with advertence of different courses run by DAV Institute of Management, Faridabad.
The Principal Director Dr. Sanjeev Sharma addressed the audience by his captivating words and spread positivity in difficult times as this. The programme was moderated by Ms. Archana Mittal and insights of the department were given by Ms. Akansha Sharma through enthralling Power Point Presentation which highlighted the course’s key features, achievements and its future endeavours and other activities held at college by NSS and NCC for students. Detailed description of DAVIM’s association with the ROTARACT CLUB and BBE students’ engagement with the same was given by Ms. Vandana Jain. Also, Mr. Harish Verma, member of TDCC threw light on the assured placement and internships which is provided by the institute. 700 plus viewers within an hour and chat box over flowed with queries are the evidence of session’s success. Few of the questions were taken up live and were duly answered by the senior faculties such as Dr. Sunita Bishnoi, Dr. Anjali Ahuja, Dr. Ashima Tandon and Ms. Vandana Jain and rest of them will be solved via Google forms. The HOD of department, Dr. Nidhi Turan gave the closing remarks with a vote of thanks.
