Faridabad News, 19 Dec 2018 : Faridabad Campus organized ULIM-2018 (Uplift India Movement – Inter School Model Making Competition) under Corporate Social Responsibility – 2018-19 on 19th Dec, 2018. Competition was inaugurated by our chief guests Mrs. & Mr. A. S. Lamba, Group Chief Executive & Whole Time Director, L&T-MHPS Boilers Pvt. Ltd.
The scope of the programme was development of skill among young students in science and Technology and encourage them towards awareness of Paryavaran and Swachata. In Sep. 2018 discussion was held by Mr. R. Sitaraman, DGM with Block Education Officer to initiate the Programme. Shortlisted five Govt. Schools i. e. Govt. Girls Sr. Sec. School Tigaon, Pali, NIT- 3 and Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Pawta and Faridpur. Programme was divided in two stage i.e. primary selection of students on the basis of primary ideas of models on small level model making in 9th and 11th classes of each school during October and November Months. Programme was totally sponsored by the company and volunteering. After Successful completion of first stage organisers shortlisted 3 students for each model and 6 models from each school for final event. Approx. 30 models from all five schools were shortlisted for the competition.
Competition was judged by Mrs. S. K. Lamba, President Nai Umang & Mr. A. S. Lamba, Group Chief Executive & Whole Time Director, LMB, Mrs. K. Malathi & Mr. K. Chinna Rao, Mrs. Mala Mehta & Mr. Anil Mehta, Mrs. Seema Akhauri & Mr. Prem Prakash Akhauri, Mrs. Kavita Kapoor & Mr. D. S. Kapoor, Mr. Parvesh Mittal, Mr. Sanjiv Arora, Mr. Sridhar, Mr. Senthil Kumar, Mr. Sumanta Basu etc.
Prize were distributed by Dr. (Mrs.) Munesh Chaudhry, Block Education Officer, Sec-28, Faridabad along with Mrs. & Mr. A. S. Lamba to the winner of 9th Class – 3rd prize to GSSS, Pawta for Waste Water Treatment, 2nd Prize for Smart Farming vs Urban Farming to GGSSS, Pali, 1st Prize for Parali vs Khushali to GGSSS, Pali.
Prizes were distributed to the winner of 11th Class – 3rd prize Solar Power Plant GGSSS, NIT-3, 2nd Prize for Plastic to Fuel GGSSS, Pali, 1st Prize for Ethanol Plant GGSSS, Pali.
Prizes were 1st prize – Six Bi-Cycles, Second Prizes – Six Kindle, 3rd Prize – Six Bluetooth speaker with FM Radio consolation prize were T-Shirts and School bags for all Students.
Pick and drop facility was provided to the students and teacher to participate in the programme venue at Block Education Office, Sec-28, Faridabad from school and back.
Snacks were distributed to all students and other staff members.
