Faridabad News, 14 Sep 2021: NHPC’s Rajbhasha journal ‘Rajbasha Jyoti’ has been awarded ‘First Prize’ under ‘Rajbhasha Kirti Puruskar (Griha Patrika)’ in Region ‘A’ by Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India for the year 2019-20 under ‘Rajbhasha Kirti Puruskar’ scheme. Besides this, NHPC has also been awarded Second Prize for commendable work in implementation of Rajbhasha.
The award was received from Hon’ble Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah by Shri A.K. Singh, CMD, NHPC during an Hindi Diwas ceremony organized at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on 14thSeptember 2021. Hon’ble Ministers of State for Home Affairs Shri Nityanand Rai, Shri Ajay Kumar Mishra and Shri Nisith Pramanik were also present on the occasion.Dr. Rajbir Singh, General Manager (Rajbhasha), NHPC was also awarded for his article ‘Vedon mein Paryavaran Chetna’under the ‘Rajbhasha Gaurav Puraskar’, the highest award given to writers for outstanding articles for the year 2019-20.
Rajbhasha Kirti Puraskar is the highest award given by the Govt. of India in the field of implementation of Official Language. NHPC has won this prestigious award for the ninth time for outstanding implementation of Rajbhasha amongst Public Sector Undertakings. Previously, NHPC has received First Prize for the years 2008-09, 2009-10, 2011-12, 2014-15 and 2016-17 and Second Prize for the years 2010-11, 2012-13 and 2015-16. NHPC’s Official Language Magazine ‘Rajbhasha Jyoti’ has received this award for the second time. Earlier, Rajbhasha Jyoti had been awarded Second Prize for the year 2016-17.
Along with the development and generation of Hydropower, NHPC has also made remarkable progress in the field of Rajbhasha Hindi. Keeping in view the commendable achievements of NHPC in implementation of Rajbhasha, it has been conferred with several Rajbhasha awards at national level.
