Faridabad News, 04 Jan 2022: NHPC Limited, India’s premier hydropower company organizedcultural programme under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to welcome New Year 2022 on 3rdJanuary 2022 at NHPC Office Complex, Faridabad. On this occasion, Shri A.K. Singh, CMD, NHPC addressed all NHPC employees and their family members across NHPC Corporate Office, Regional Offices, Power Stations, Projects and other units through live webcasting and Facebook Live.
In his address,ShriA.K. Singh, CMD, NHPC extended his warm wishes for New Year 2022 to all NHPCians and informed about the achievements of NHPC during 2021. CMD, NHPC said that NHPChad made great progress on various fronts and highlighted recent milestones as the successful Diversion of river at 624 MW Kiru HE Project (J&K), 1stblast taken at Face-II of 120 MW NHPC Rangit IV HE Project (Sikkim), progress of works related to obtaining Forest Clearance for 1856 MW Sawalkot Project etc. He praised NHPC employees for their hardwork and dedication during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic wherein NHPC continues to generate power on a 24 x 7 basis. Shri A.K. Singh further said that NHPC is getting a lot of new projects and is moving steadily to become a 50,000 MW company by 2040.
A special highlight of the programme was the live telecast of play titled ‘Krantiveer Azad’ based on life of the great Indian freedom fighter, Chandra Shekhar Azad.
