Faridabad News, 25 May 2021 : We know that National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 was approved on July 29 in the Union Cabinet meeting, chaired by the Prime Minister ShriNarendraModi. The new policy, which replaces the 34 year old policy of 1986, aims to pave way for transformational reforms in school and higher education systems in the country. National Education Policy aims to keep the current and future generations ‘Future Ready’ while focussing on the National Values and National Goals.

LingayasVidhyapeeth organized a National webinar on National education policy 2020 under the patronage of our esteemed chancellor, Prof.(Dr.) PicheswarGadde. National Webinar is graced by the presence of Prof.(Dr.) K.K. Agrawal, Chairman, National Board of Accreditation.

Honorable Vice Chancellor,Prof.(Dr.) A.R Dubey welcomed the Hon. Guest. The Webinar was honored to have the presence of Honorable Chancellor sir, Dean Academics, Registrar and Deans from all departments as well HOD’s of all departments were also present with their faculties and students. The event started by VandanaKaushik, Asstt. Prof.(Department of English) with thanking the audience for taking out their valuable time to be a part of the Webinar. Honorable Dean Academics Pof.(Dr.) Pankaj Kumar Mishra Introduce the Honorable Guest to the audiences by giving a brief Sketch of his experience and achievements.

Prof.(Dr.) K.K.Agrawal , Chairman, National Board of Accreditation explore the National Education Policy 2020. He also gave the key highlights on New Education Policy 2020. He gave valuable insight of policy as it depends on multidisciplinary and a holistic education system. The new policy seeks rectification of poor literacy and numeracy outcomes associated with primary schools, reduction in dropout levels in middle and secondary schools and adoption of the multi-disciplinary approach in the higher education system.Apart from this, the policy also focuses on early childhood care, restructuring curriculum and pedagogy; reforming assessments and exams, and investing in teacher training and broad-basing their appraisal.
The event concluded by praising words of Honorable Chacellor sir, he closed the Webinar with a vote of thanks to the honorable guest and allaudiences for extending their full support and cooperation for making the event a successful one. The Webinar ended with National Anthem.
