Faridabad News, 31 Jan 2021 : NSS and NCC wing of DAV Institute of Management, Faridabad in association with the IQAC cell organized a session on E-waste Management and truth about drugs on 29th January 2021. Ms. Gurpreet Kaur (Social Development professional) facilitated the session with speakers of the day Mr. Tapas Chatterjee, CEO, Action in Community and Training & Mr. Amit Chopra, entrepreneur in plastic recycling & volunteer for drug free world. Mr. Tapas threw light upon E-waste Management, agencies working on E-waste Management and importance of E-waste Management. Mr. Amit Chopra spoke about Drug free world. He explained the real meaning of drugs, the adverse effects of taking drugs and the reasons for which the persons take drugs. He suggested the possible steps which can be adopted to make the world drug free.
A total of 53 students from different courses attended the session. Students had a lot of queries which were effectively taken up by the facilitators and team members. Team Members of National Service Scheme Mr. Sachin Narula, CA Alka Narula, Dr. Kavita Goel and Mr. Sameer worked wholeheartedly under the guidance of Dr. Rashmi Bhargava (Convener, NSS), Dr. Sanjeev Sharma, Principal Director and Dr. Ritu Gandhi Arora, Registrar and Vice Principal to make the event successful.
