Faridabad News, 26 feb 2019 : Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth, Faridabad organized Tech-Fest 2019 on Tuesday 26th February 2019. The theme of this year’s Tech-Fest is “Green technologies for sustainable development”.
Shri Ravi P. Singh, Chairman & Managing Director, Power Grid Corporation of India (A Navratana Public Sector Undertaking) was the Chief Guest and he was presented “Paryavaran Mitra” award on this occasion for his outstanding contribution to environmental protection and sustainable development.
More than 150 Green Technology Projects were displayed by students of various colleges and Universities of Delhi NCR region. Amongst all projects, Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth got first prize for the project “Turbo Purifier”. The winner for the second prize on project “Carbon Sequestration” was also from Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth. And the third prize for the project “Book Flash Glass Reader” was awarded to the YMCA, Faridabad. There were other innovative projects also which attracted visitor’s attractions are Environment Surveillance Using Quadcopter, Solar Remote Controlled Step Rover and E-Waste Management Using Artificial Intelligence.
Cash prizes and merit certificates were given to the winners. Also present on the occasion were Dr. Picheswar Gadde, Chancellor, Dr. D. N. Rao, Vice-Chancellor, Dr. K. K. Sharma, Convenor of this Tech Fest 2019.
