Teej Celebrations at DAV Institute of Management

Faridabad News, 10 Aug 2021 : Hariyali Teej is a significant Hindu festival that marks the advent of monsoons or sawan and celebrated on the Tritiya Tithi (third day), Shravan Shukla Paksha, which usually falls two days before Nag Panchami. It is also called the festival of swings This festival is celebrated to pay tributes to Lord Shiva and Devi Parvati. To commemorate this day, the Cultural and Extracurricular department of DAV Institute of management organised “Haryali Teej” on 10 th August 2021. The celebration was attended by all the faculty members (Teaching and Non- Teaching) with mehndi adorned palms, flowers, bangles, bandhani dupattas and mouth watering ghevar. 

All the faculty members were dressed in yellow traditional /cultural attire and participated in several fun activities. The faculty members sang and danced on melodious folk songs.  Considering the scenario of COVID 19, medicinal plant Tulsi pots were distributed to all the faculty members as a token of gratitude.

Dr. Ritu Gandhi Arora, Officiating Principal applauded the efforts of cultural and Extracurricular team including Dr Parul Nagi (Convener) , Dr shobha bhatia, Ms Poonam , Ms Archana Mittal, Dr Dhrity Gulati, CA Bhawna, Ms Esha Khanna and Ms Deepika. The celebration marked the cultural heritage of India and everyone present were filled with joy and happiness.
