Faridabad News, 13 Sep 2021 : DAV Institute of Management, Faridabad, celebrated WorldBrotherhood Day on 11th September 2021, to honour the historic speech delivered by Swami Vivekananda on this day in 1893 in Chicago to the delegates of the World Parliament of Religions.This event wasorganized by Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Faridabad Branch.The Chief guest of the day, Mr. Harish Ratra (President of Foundation against thalassemia) was overwhelmed at the occasion and said that the motive of event to inspire students by thoughts of Swami Vivekananda Ji.The program was Presided over by Dr. Ritu Gandhi Arora, Officiating Principal DAVIM, who said that the teachings of Swami Vivekanand Ji, hold true even today as everyoneneeds to have love and respect for their fellowmen.
The speaker of the day was Mr. Anil Sharma, Head of Operations, Haryana Region, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari. He said that this day is celebrated all over the world to create awareness about the life of Swami Vivekananda Ji and the struggles he faced and history of Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari.Students participated in this event voluntarily from many colleges and universities. DAV institute of management, YMCA, MR University, Aggarwal college, DAV Centenary.They participated in activities like song, speech, dance etc. MR University students presented an amazing play in this event. Simran Bhatia of DAVIM presented a dance on patriotic songs. The audience was informed about YPP (युवा प्रेरणा प्रतियोगिता), a competition based on a book related to Yoga. The competition will be organized online on 10thOctober, 2021. The event was a huge success.
