New Delhi : Recently, Padam Shree Raveena Tandon and Standup comedian attended the prestigious Times Business Award North 2023. The event was held at The Grand Hotel, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi. Ms. Aruna Goenka was awarded for her Modest Contribution towards society. The award was presented by Actress Raveena Tandon.
Aruna Goenka, who Has become the God’s Postman. She is feeding around 200-300 people everyday from last many years on her own, without any help from government or anyone else. The langar is arranged everyday -morning breakfast, lunch and evening tea langar is being run at its gate for some years.
The langar is held at Kanchanshree, a grand farmhouse built in Vasant Kunj. The owner of this farmhouse, who is known as ‘Mataji’ by most of the people here, runs a domestic langar without any outside or government help.The special thing is that pulses, vegetables, rice are distributed free of cost to the poor in the midday meal.
