New Delhi News, 27 Jan 2020 : The book “Destiny’s Flowers”, authored by Kajoli Khanna was introduced by Smt. Maneka Sanjay Gandhi, Member of Loksabha, who spoke highly of it, in an event held at the Friends Club in South-Delhi. The introduction session was followed by a talk by the Author and a QnA session.
In her talk, Kajoli Khanna connected her novel Destiny’s Flowers to the process of overcoming serious trauma, living in the moment and dealing with daily stress. At a time when emotional, psychological and social problems abound Destiny’s Flowers sets out to provide solutions, give direction and a deeper meaning to the lives of the audience
Maneka Gandhi, MP BJP, who was the chief guest for the event said “The book is an authentic piece of work. It is a gentle book and a good book that I recommend to all adults. A Buddhist one on one that is so visual you can see the pictures the author creates”. “I am glad I read the book and glad to have been asked to introduce it” she added.
As a champion for women’s rights, Maneka Gandhi applauded the book and expressed deep empathy towards the women protagonists and their suffering.
Destiny’s flowers is the second book by the Author. She previously released her book “Afterbirth and Other Stories” in 2010. The book Destiny’s Flowers takes us through the journey of Urmilla, Pema and Atish as they accidentally find their destinies intertwined. What follows is three unique perspectives, as the novel takes us from a fairy-tale fort in a financial mess to a class clash in a Bengali household; From the soothing environs of Buddhist monasteries to the cacophony of the overpopulated slums.
The event was concluded with the high-tea session along with the tasteful snacks. The event also allowed the book lovers to a one on one session with the author.
