By working in a range of disparate styles and genres, these artists remain deeply engaged with their shared experiences of movement, influences, modernity, and 21st century life. Collectively Independent is a show to incorporate different independent individual artists with different ideas, styles of work, perspectives, and different viewpoints.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Rajesh Tailang, Sharan Lowen, Naresh Kanpuria. Guests attending the event included. Manisha Gawade Aarti Zaveri Sangeetha Murthi and participating artists Bharti Verma, Abhinav Goyal, Soumick Nag, Siddharth Jharia, Sonali Chaudhari, Sonia Sareen, and Vrinda Jharia, were all present at the gallery.

Gaurav Chawla said, “The things we faced in the recent past, the pandemic, the life coming to a standstill for a while – they all make us think about what we have done and what we will do in the uncertainty of the future. Then, as we introspect, going deeper into ourselves, we finally see the ray of hope – every tunnel has a light at the end, after all. The above two quotes inspired me to keep on painting.”

Ruchi Chadha says, “Hope is there in dreams, in imagination, and in the courage of those who dare to turn dreams into realities, not giving up in adverse circumstances, moving from the darkness towards the light. Especially during these times, my painting gave me energy, and kept me hopeful for a better tomorrow.”
