Mumbai : With the ongoing outrage over the increased rape cases in India, Mumbai witnesses one of the most shocking animal brutality cases of all times. In Powai, Mumbai, last week, a nine year old female stray dog Noorie was brutally raped with an 11-inch wooden stick inserted in her private parts. The incident came to light on Thursday and immediately caught a lot of social media attention, and thereby going viral.
Giorgia Andriani, an Italian Model/Actress, who has been a dog lover, she took her social media as a medium to channel her outrage on the same. She used the hashtag “#JusticeFoeNoori” that is currently trending on social media in hopes to get the culprit of the heinous crime to justice.
She says, “we are surrounded with sick people who can harm animals as well as humans too” and urged her Instagram followers to “continue sharing the message so that Noori gets justice”. Further, she tagged the PM, Narendra modi, CMO Maharashtra, BJP’s Maneka Gandhi and the Mumbai police in her story.
Andriana also went ahead and pointed out that the penalties for such crimes ismerely “Rs. 50” and urges change regarding the same saying “ People who abuse animals are left on bail and ahead that FIR keeps on piling under dust”.
