New Delhi News : The Muzaffarnagar riots based film ‘Muzaffranagar-The Burning Love’ is now facing a controversy, as the cinema hall owners here voluntarily deciding not to screen it in the face of opposition. Therefore, for the same, the entire team of the movie came along together for the press conference held in The Hotel Le Meridien, New Delhi. The director of the movie Harish Kumar, Manoj Kumar Maandi (Producer), Dev Sharma (Lead Actor), and another actor Ekansh Bhardwaj along with the presenter from Bollywood Film City were present to reveal the truth and share their pain behind the controversy happening after the release of the movie.
The director of the film, Harish Kumar seemed disappointed, blaming the authorities, he stated, “There is no pressure of political parties, yes but the authorities are creating mess. Even after the Censor board certification, the DM’s are not accepting our letter. It is painful for all of us, if they wanted to stop the film, they would have done this before the release, because banning after release is a big loss for us.” About the Censor certification, he said, “We have got the U/A Certificate by Censor board, even this was also not easy. It took approx. 4 months for us to pass the film. The Censor board have given permission for the film, but now the upper authorities are ignoring our movie, even after we asked them to watch it.”
Director Harish also revealed the cities where the movie got banned, “The DM of Bijnor and Shamli ignored our request, Muzaffarnagar movie is doing good everywhere, but authorities are stopping it in the cities like, Delhi NCR, Bijnor, Saharanpur, Ghaziabad and other parts of the western UP, even the place Muzaffarnagar to whom this movie belongs are not allowed to watch our movie. This movie is giving a message, people are creating misconceptions by the title of the movie, and we are requesting everyone to watch this movie instead of judging it by its title.”
Even the actors of the movie shared their views, and cleared the air of controversy, Lead Dev Sharma said, “everyone can watch this movie in theatres, this movie is based on the issues of Muzaffarnagar, and banning this movie from the place where it belongs is wrong. This movie is giving a message of humanity, a good positive message.” On the other hand actor Ekansh Bhardwaj, told media, “The meaning of the title burning love is not Love Jihad, the entire movie is different from its title, we will again say that watch this movie before judging the matter and title.”
‘Muzaffarnagar – The Burning Love’ was released on Friday, 17th November 2017.
