New Delhi, 20th August 2020: The JEE Main 2020 examination is scheduled from September 1st to September 6th and NEET or National Eligibility cum Entrance Test 2020 is scheduled for September 13th, 2020 and the Supreme Court of India has given its verdict that they will not postpone these entrance examinations. Students had filed a petition in court requesting to postpone the dates of the exams again until the situation returns to normalcy. However, the court dismissed the plea by saying that the examinations would be conducted and not deferred. National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2020 and Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) are one of the highest competitive exams, opening the door for students to enter the most reputable medical and engineering schools. With this NEET and JEE test lakhs of students appear each year hoping to be admitted to government and private colleges.

It was a wise decision to not postpone the exams as students would have lost the motivation and concentration to prepare for these crucial exams. It would also affect the performance of the aspirants. Apart from the new candidates, some aspirants are reappearing for these exams and trying their luck to score better this time and that would increase the anxiety and stress levels among the aspirants. The entrance exams should be finished on time. If the exams are not held this year then the students will lose an academic year and it will put the career of students in peril. The students have been preparing for these exams for several months, now postponing the exams will throw their preparations in disarray them and they have got enough time to prepare for it. Keeping all the safety precautions in mind these exams could be held.

Geeta Jain, Founder of Mediconation said, “There are not many alternatives left and exams should be conducted, taking all the adequate precautions. These entrance examinations are extremely crucial as they are the getaway for the student’s future. In keeping the exam’s importance the Supreme Court has made a wise decision by not postponing the exams any further. Candidates preparing for JEE and NEET 2020 must be already going through an increased level of stress and postponing the exams would add more stress and anxiety.”
