New Delhi News, 05 Nov 2019 : Award-winning 2016 film 31st October, starring Soha Ali Khan & Vir Das, set on the backdrop of one of the most fateful days in Indian history, the Sikh riots of 1984 were screened for special guests in Mohali recently.
Writer-Producer Harry Sachdeva along with the Young Progressive Sikh Forum hosted this special screening for prominent Sikhs and influential personalities of Chandigarh & Punjab. Noted philanthropist, film presenter & entrepreneur Dr. Raju Chadha Chairman Wave Group was the chief guest at this niche event, who flew in especially from Delhi, accompanied by son Asees and award-winning filmmaker Rahul Mittra. Prominent amongst those present included Dr. SP Singh Oberoi Managing Trustee Sarbat Da Bhala Charitable Trust, Dr. Prabhleen Singh, President Young Progressive Sikh Forum, Divya Sharma from Magical Dreams Productions, apart from others.
Dr. Raju Chadha,s speech got thumping applause after he appreciated the film and reiterated his commitment to work towards the common good of humanity & keep on ushering in social reforms, especially for the Sikh brothers and sisters across the globe.
The film was released in 2016 to rave reviews & acknowledged at many national and international platforms, including premiers at London Indian Film Festival, Sikh International Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival, and Vancouver International Film Festival.
