”The Touch of Luxury” was the theme of the webinar today where in the Industry experts spoke about how bespoke weddings can be intimately classy and quintessentially elegant in the post coronavirus world.
In an uncertain world, weddings are not at the top of anyone’s minds. But in India, they are a huge business, and their absence is keenly felt by the industry. Pre-pandemic, India was a promising market for luxury goods, estimated to grow at a 10.3 per cent CAGR between 2020 and 2023. The market size is close to $8 billion.
However, industry experts in their discussion today believed that Indian weddings will return with spike in growth in the coming years and it will continue to be bigger once the virus threat is down to be negligible.As we are seeing, couples are swapping their grand wedding celebration with small gathering or intimate wedding affair, so the ”New Normal” for celebrating weddings in pandemic is different. Though we are sure grand celebrations will be back after normalcy in the situation.
