J C Bose University inks MoU with Iran’s Institute for promotion of research

Faridabad News, 10 January 2020 : J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology (JC Bose UST), YMCA, Faridabad has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mazandaran Institute of Technology (MIT), Babol, Iran to promote research, joint projects and exchange of faculty and students.

The MoU was signed by Dean (Academics) Prof. Vikram Singh of JC Bose UST and Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research) Prof. Ghasem Najafpour from MIT Babol in the presence of Registrar Dr. S.K Garg and other senior officials of the University. Prof. Naveen Kumar from Delhi Technological University, Director, International Affairs Dr. Shilpa Sethi, Deputy Director, International Affairs Dr. Rajeev Saha were also present on this occasion.

This academic tie-up was matured during the 8th International Symposium on Fusion of Science and Technology (ISFT-2020) after the detailed discussion to work in academic collaboration on the areas of mutual interests.

Under the agreement, both the Universities, working in field of Science, Technology, Research and Innovation, have shown their commitment to make efforts in developing and expanding research and academic cooperation within a systematic framework.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dinesh Kumar has applauded the efforts made by International Affairs Cell to boost international tie-ups. He said that the University is working towards establishing and strengthening its international tie-ups so as to further fostering advancement in teaching, learning and research. Through the international tie-ups, the University has a plan to promote collaborative research and exchange programmes for faculty, researchers and students.

Prof. Ghasem Najafpour apprised that Mazandaran Institute of Technology (MIT), Babol promotes research and innovations in various fields of engineering and science disciplines and it runs under the Iranian Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology. MIT has been working in collaboration with Babol Noshirvani University of Technology (BNUT), one of the prominent Public Research Universities in Iran and the base for several interdisciplinary research centres, which focus on nanotechnology, fuel cells, renewable energy, sea-based energy, high-voltage substations, intelligent systems, and metal forming, he added.
