Recently, Karan Aanand opened up about yet another eccentric role he played in a yet to be released short film. When asked about the taxing preparation for the role, the actor said, “In this short film, I had to play a very different character, which is very demanding, and I went through a lot of transformation. So I needed to break myself from Karan Aanand into this character which in turn was a huge task.
The biggest one of all was that, I am a non-smoker and don’t advocate smoking in any manner, but for this role, I ended up smoking over 200 cigarettes in less than 15 days. I was asked to talk while smoking in multiple shots, which to my understanding, only trained smokers can do. So I ended up smoking my lungs out! Nevertheless, I also took some precautions wherein, after smoking I used to gargle with warm water to prevent any damage to my vocals.
All in all, I am glad to have taken up the opportunity and see it to a graceful end.”
The romantic love story was shot in Kolkata under the production of “Lupt” ‘s Hanwant Khatri and Lalit Kiri. We cannot wait to see the romantic painter version of Karan Aanand anymore!
